Orbit Entertainment announces the end of Sphaze’s group activities, with some members continuing solo after contract terminations.
The five-member virtual idol group Sphaze—comprising Do Minseong, Seo Taeil, Nidan, Frederick, and Madaehyeop—has announced the end of its group activities, just one year after debut. Their agency, Orbit Entertainment, confirmed the decision via an official statement posted on Sphaze’s account on October 2.
Orbit Entertainment explained that after extended discussions, the contracts with Nidan, Frederick, and Madaehyeop were terminated effective October 1, 2025. As a result, the group’s collective activities will be concluded. Meanwhile, Do Minseong and Seo Taeil will continue as individual artists.
Although Sphaze will cease group operations, the agency stated that “the official YouTube channel, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, fan café, and music streaming services will remain accessible,” so fans can continue to access content and music.
Sphaze debuted on September 30, 2024, as a five-member male virtual idol group. From the start, they drew attention for their concept: all members except Seo Taeil were characters derived from webtoon IPs, resulting in a fusion of virtual entertainment and webtoon narratives.
