Virtual streamer Oyo has terminated her contract with management company Mitchu, effective October 31, and shared her personal thoughts during a live broadcast.
On October 3, Mitchu posted an official announcement on its X (formerly Twitter) account, stating:
“After sufficient discussion with Oyo, we are ending the exclusive contract on October 31, 2025, and concluding her activities under Mitchu. We thank Oyo for her hard work from debut to now, and we support her future endeavors.”
During a live session on Chijijik (a streaming platform), Oyo responded to the news, saying
“Mitchu provided many conveniences and never pressured me about how to stream. I simply felt burdened by having a management company, since I consider streaming a hobby. It’s like wanting to paint as a hobby but being enrolled in a college prep school for art when you’re in your final year of high school.”
She continued:
“I could have stayed with Mitchu if I wanted. The creators and managers there treated me well, so I struggled a lot over the decision.”
She expressed gratitude to Mitchu and addressed fans with sincerity.
